Essential storage is intended for operation, security and remembering consent choices. Publish an accurate inventory of names, purposes, providers and retention based on the implementation. Calling a category essential does not automatically authorise every measurement tool.

On the marketing site, measurement and advertising tools must wait for appropriate consent. Statistics and advertising are separate choices. The four relevant Consent Mode v2 signals default to denied until a choice. Review GTM tags before every release.

Users can change or withdraw consent through privacy settings. Withdrawal applies going forward and may not erase data already sent to an external provider. Document how non-essential identifiers are removed and choices are applied across connected tools.
